I’ve been agonising about the right context for displaying my recent After Day X work. I thought I’d give the library display case a whirl, so many health and safety forms later, here it is! I love the aesthetic of these items in the display case but is it strictly necessary from a contextual point of view? Perhaps the objects stand up for themselves?

Wow Fiona, this is terrific! I really love how you have shown this amazing found art as separate, but together. It brings the whole story together without destroying the individual parts. How great is that?
You always delight and surprise me…then again, you don’t.
You make me think!
Love,
Kim

Hi Fiona,
I find your works incredibly thought-provoking, I am interested to know what you have named each piece.
The display cabinet works well, since you have well placed lighting in the cabinet to show off each work.

Thanks Dianne! I’m afraid i’ve been a little lazy and not named each item seperately but grouped them under a series title of After Day X. I do have ideas in my mind but I’m concerned about leading the viewer. Maybe that’s just a cop out though!
Yes, I do love them in that cabinet, and I like the way they reflect. I sometimes pretend that aesthetics are not important to me…but it’s just not true!
