Happy Halloween!
This is my transposition drawing from Bronzino’s Allegory with Venus and Cupid. The original is a moralistic tale of forbidden sexual activity. I was asked to do a transposition of the masterpiece. I looked at definitions of transposition which included blood transfusion and the bodily organs being in the wrong places so I thought that a tale of orgiastic vampires swapping blood and other bodily fluids would do the trick as a modern day reinterpretation. It’s riddled with symbolism as well as naugtiness. See if you can spot it!
