Recycled Concrete
This was one of those glorious happy accidents! I made this slab of concrete last term but the college was locked up earlier than I thought and it went off before I could finish it. I made a mould for the concrete with wood and lined the mould with a recycling sack. I thought that I would recycle this slab for my urban decay project. I was going to put chewing gum onto it and display it on the wall to change the viewers perspective on paving slabs. However, when I took it out of it’s mould yesterday, I discovered that the print from the recycling sack had come off onto the concrete and permeated its surface. I’m really thrilled with it and have decided to leave it as it is. In fact, I made another one for the chewing gum idea but I love that one too!
