State of the Art competition
It was great to take part in this exhibition at the Royal College of Art and I was pleased to make a contribution to the Princes Trust. I was very pleased to be shortlisted as one of the final 50 artists. Apparently: “The exhibition was a huge success and the judges and audience were extremely impressed by the standard.” The winner was Richard Graham for his wonderful piece Childish Nature. I was immediately drawn to this piece as I once did a large piece involving a decrepit old Victorian sash window with peeling paint. Congratulations Richard!

Dear Fiona,
congratulations for taking part in the exhibition and for being one of the finalists. Kim pointed your work out and I’m glad I came here because your work is very inspiring. This piece of wall, it suggests so many ideas at a time…handywork, earthy textures, prison, contradictions, freedom, human skills,
Have a wonderful day
Andrea

Fiona,
I came here by way of Kim’s Blog and am glad I did. You find beauty in your surroundings where others see decay and ruin. Flickr enabled me to get a close-up view of the rich texture and colors of the piece. Congratulations!
