Fiona Long Art

The art and musings of Fiona Long, a London based artist.

I’ve been tagged by my brother, Karl Long, from his brilliant tcritic website. So here are seven things that you may well not know about me!

• I collect empty crisp packets and cigarette packets (for art projects, I’m not entirely insane!)

• I’ve just given up smoking.

• I sometimes sing the blues with my dad Bob Long.

• I’ve always secretly wanted pink hair but haven’t had the guts to dye it.

• As a child my Dad taught me to say “grow little seed, grow” when I sewed seeds in the garden.

• I love looking in skips.

• I keep a rather disturbing dream sketch book.

And here are the blogs that I would like to tag and find out seven things I didn’t know about them!: the blogging of Amy Jordan, Artography, coffee shop schmuk, indigoalison, spectrscope, judy scott and bohemian girl designs

Hi Fiona :) Thanks for the tag - now I’ll have to do some thinking! ;)

HUGE congrats on giving up smoking - one of my weirdnesses is my seemingly incurable addiction to the demon nicotine. yuk. I don’t save the packets, though ;)

Love that your Dad taught you that, with the seeds. What a great Dad he is :) And why not consider a pink streak before you go the whole hog?! I’m sure it would suit you :) My son’s girlfriend has just dyed the underneath (for want of a better word) of her hair pink, and the top is blonde - it looks amazing!

LoL, skips! I would furnish my house from skips if they’d let me! It’s quite surprising what people throw away sometimes, eh? And I do believe that your scary dream sketchbook would probably give me nightmares! Good thing to keep one, though..

I’m so sorry I’ve missed out on so many of your photo’s lately. Flickr hiccups, I s’pose :( Will go to work on my weirdnesses and post them asap. Good to talk to you again :)
