With the help of my wonderful tutor, Sean Ashton, I have noticed a recurrent orgiastic theme in my work. It’s not always as in your face as my transposition of an Allegory with Venus and Cupid though and that’s why it was difficult to spot. Much of my work has a flowing, tangled, erotic feel to it but through the use of inanimate objects so I’ve decided to persue this theme in my work. I’m reflecting this concept back onto my Urban Flux work, concentrating on the tangled pulsating road infrastructure and the London Underground rail network as a means for orgiastic representation.
