I've now finished this at last! Here is my goldfish painting at last. This is loosely based on emmy75's photo at www.flickr.com/photos/emmy75/177228238/in/set-72157594180... Thanks a million Emily!
I think that it's better viewed large so that you can see more of the stuff going on in it but it's a touch blurry for my liking. I havn't managed to capture quite how it looks, maybe that's why art work is blocked from public display on Flickr!

Comments:
Makes me think of Aboriginal art.
This is really cool. What did you use to get the 'oil on water' effect? Or is it a well kept secret? : )
This really wonderful; there's just so much movement and little things going on.
Its very beautiful. I agree with Mahadelic It has a tribal feel to it. The colours are fantastic as well.
You should be very proud. Cheers
oh i see - goldfish tail - without know that it looks like a body falling. Yes, please explain about water effect - I know your were playing around with it. I've read about different ways to do stuff with sprayed on alcohol but haven't tried yet.
if art work is blocked on flickr they dont know what their missing. this is great
very nice technique, excellent piece!
Beautiful artworks in your stream! Love this one, so abstract and mysterious, yet feels alive.
great work
This turned out amazing!!! I am honoured you used my photo as inspiration. Thank YOU Fiona. BRAVO!!!
yes, I love this one, also....the lustre and the tones and textures...feels alive...
I like it very much Fiona, although it's blured a little. Did you used as told in your profile "add plant seeds to my paintings for interest and texture"?. The result is absolutely excellent.
Thank you so much for the lovely comments everyone! There are no plant seeds in this one and it's a new special technique that I've been working on! I've now seen the falling man that cottiegarage mentioned and it's all that I can see now! Did you notice that he looks a bit rude?
Very nice Fiona. You are doing really well. Keep up the good work, and keep on experimenting. That is the way to go.
You have been chosen to receive the REAL ART AWARD!
yes, and a great starting point to jump into series of paintings exploring that texture technique in other ways..great stuff, keep it coming.
stunning!!
i can look at it and fantasise it is a satellite photo
and i love those a lot
seen in Creme
fantastic!
